We LOVE building homes! We know that your home is where your most important people + memories + animals + stuff live, and we take our responsibility very seriously.
We also know that your home is often your biggest financial investment, and that the building process can be a bit overwhelming. We aim to keep the process on track, on budget, and on sanity. We are transparent with everything (even our profit?!) and we’re available for questions and counseling. In short, we’re generally obsessed with your home and your happiness.
We handle the details and the schedules and the human-wrangling so that you can do the fun stuff: picking out your fixtures… and picking out your paint colors… and dreaming about your new home… and smiling as you watch your dreams take shape. (Don’t worry, we’ll help you pick out the fun stuff, too, because even fun stuff can be a little overwhelming at times.)
John is the son of a builder and was raised in the construction industry. While other children were playing, John was learning to build homes. From a very young age, John worked with his father on construction sites and learned to build quality homes and develop raw land. By the age of 22, while working with a large residential building company, John became the youngest superintendent in the company’s history and managed the construction of multiple subdivisions simultaneously. John branched out on his own with Edwin Anthony Homes and his passion for quality and building drives every project.
Ellen loves real estate and tracking things on spreadsheets and watching homes grow out of the ground. While other children were wandering about, Ellen was constantly building with blocks – except when she was building forts. In her later years, Ellen earned a chemical engineering degree from the University of Michigan and a juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School. Ellen’s technical and legal acumen, obsession with all things real estate, and dedication to efficient corporate logistics and communications ensures that your custom home exceeds your expectations.
Then, we'll arrange a time to chat via phone to understand your project, budget, and timing.
(If you don't, that's OK, too. We have several architects who can help. Or, if you have house plans, but no land, that's OK, too. We can also help with your land search.) We'll send your project out for quotation to our skilled tradespeople and suppliers. Then, we'll provide you with an overall Total Contract Price.
We also work with several lenders that offer excellent terms for our homeowners.
